Bookkeeper (Ref 105)

Tyger Falls. R35k – R40k depending on experience. URGENT START. No benefits.

 

Our client requires the services of a Bookkeeper with at least a Certificate/Diploma in Accounting.

Qualification, Experience and Technical Requirement

  • Certificate / Diploma in Accounting
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a bookkeeper
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles (incl. trial balance)
  • SAGE X3 Experience would be an Advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages

 

  1. Pastel Partner
    1. Cashbook Processing for various entities
    2. Bank Reconciliations
    3. Debtors (claims to clients and occupational rent)
    4. Creditors
    5. Loan Accounts (internal and External)
    6. Everything up to Trial Balance
  2. Prepare Timeous Monthly cash flow Forecast
  3. Check invoices vs appointments/quotes for correctness
  4. Managing bank accounts and Generating payments for multiple entities on Standard Bank and Nedbank
  5. Managing Petty Cash
  6. Compiling Fund documents for Property Bonds
  7. Submit various claims to Property Bonds
  8. Compare Actual vs Feasibility (Budgets) in Excel
  9. Maintaining Price lists and commission statements
  10. Keep incomes and expenses schedule up to date
  11. VAT Reconciliations and Submit VAT201 for various entities
  12. Liaising with auditors on an annual basis
  13. Filing of all company and project related documentation
  14. Ad Hoc duties

Part-time Bookkeeper/Fin Assist (Ref: 105)

R8000.00 –  Part-time position. NPO. Work from home & office in CBD. Own cell phone and laptop needed. 10- month contract.

This Bookkeeper/Financial Assistant will be reporting to the Managing Director.  Supporting the financial administration of our client. This role offers practical, hands-on experience in financial systems, compliance, and funding structures within a professional non-profit arts organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with bookkeeping and accurate financial record keeping
  • Capture and maintain financial data using systems such as QuickBooks and Excel
  • Support invoice processing, payments, and expense tracking
  • Help compile and maintain an asset management register
  • Assist with payroll administration, including salaries and related documentation
  • Support the processing of government supplier management requirements, SARS e-filing, CCT database and BBBEE requirements, etc.
  • Assist in drawing up quotes, contracts and invoices
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets for productions, projects and tours
  • Help compile financial reports for funders, audits, and internal management
  • Support grant compliance, including financial tracking and reporting requirements
  • Assist with filing, record management, and financial documentation systems
  • Provide general administrative support to the Managing Director as required
  • Liaising with accountant and auditor

Ideal Candidate

  • Accredited training and qualification in bookkeeping
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel a must
  • Understanding of payroll processes, including salaries and SARS e-filing
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
  • Organised, reliable, proactive, detail-oriented and able to follow structured systems
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Interest in arts administration and non-profit financial management
  • Experience or knowledge in writing funding proposals would be an advantage
  • Possessing a printer would be an advantage
