Tyger Waterfront. Salary R40k – R50k per month, depending on experience (no benefits)

Being a qualified Conveyancer will be an advantage but not necessary as well as experience

within the Property Industry.

1. GENERAL:           

Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s business strategies, policies and practices;

Providing legal advice and guidance on all activities of the company;

Maintaining and management of business risk and legal compliance;

2. HR:

Drafting of appointment letters, employment contracts, notices, warnings and all employee correspondence;

Management of probation periods;

Arranging of disciplinary hearings;

Attending to dismissals, retrenchments and employee grievances;

Maintenance and implementation of HR policies and procedures;

Handling of all HR related queries.

3. COMMERCIAL:

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating of land purchase, joint venture- and commercial business agreements including sale agreements, shareholders agreements, lease agreements, professional appointments, construction / subcontractor agreements;

Provide general legal advice regarding real estate transactions;

Act as general liaison with other attorneys and counsel on litigation matters;

Coordinating all communications with landowners and potential business partners;

Maintaining all contract dates and extensions relating to business agreements and property transactions;

Attending to all contractual / legal queries from end-purchasers;

Drafting of end-purchaser sale agreements, building agreements, HOA Constitutions and Conduct Rules;

Addressing of all legal disputes in the Company in accordance with contractual obligations and company policy;

Ensuring legal protection, compliance and risk management in business agreements;

Review and interpretation of all legal documents;

Legal research on relevant matters;

Drafting and implementation of policies for good business practices;
Ensure corporate governance of group- and development entities.
