Duties:
Fresh Produce Exports:
- Import mates and draft addendums for submission
- Titan Submissions
- Phyto Submissions
- SI Submissions
- LC experience
- TPT cargo dues (OTC)
- Customs submissions
- Various Markets Knowledge
- Incoterms experience
- DHL complete doc packs
- Work within a timeline to produce a complete set of documents to client satisfaction and in sufficient time in order to clear the shipments at POD.
| – The preparation of the necessary export documentation for South African customs clearance. |
| – Following the necessary regulations and rules governing the exportation of products from
South Africa. |
| – Helping to provide a safe and secure transport of cargo to our clients. |
| – Ensuring compliance with the customs to ensure that the cargo is legal and able to
qualify for delivery to its ultimate destination. |
| – Responsible for all inspections of the goods being exported and ensuring that they
conform to all export laws. |
Imports
- Any experience in the clearance of import cargo
- Customs Entries
- Bond stores
- Port Health Stops
- SAP stops
- State vet submissions
| Respond to queries (clients, agents, branch) in a timeous manner |
| Ops related queries escalated to senior staff |
| Opening of files onto Ship shape immediately once pre-alert received |
| Shipping line documents (incl. proof of payment) sent to carrier before vessel cut offs |
| Import files to be checked immediately on receipt of pre-alert documents – errors reported to senior staff |
| Vessel to be tracked to ensure timeous clearing of shipments |
| Compliance to all company policies , practices and administrative procedures. |
| Operational meetings when required |
Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in fresh produce exports
- Various markets knowledge
- Experience in working with the various shipping lines
- Incoterms
- Be able to work on the various platforms for submissions
- Understand that time is of the utmost importance, do it now, not tomorrow
