Payroll Supervisor (Ref 103)

About this job

The Payroll Supervisor will oversee the monthly and weekly payroll for a large company and will provide a leadership role in this space.


Duties include the following:


·       Manage the timely preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payroll - this includes for terminations, new starters, as well as managing tax changes, rate changes, deductions, adjustments and special pays, tax reports etc.




  Supervise and develop the Payroll administrators


·       Reconciliation of monthly accounts 


·       Uploading of payroll bank file, monthly journals to general ledger


·         Liaise with Financial Manager re queries on general ledgers and trial balances


·         Reconcile leave and bonus provision transactions


·         Have a good understanding of government regulations affecting payroll tax issues


·         Being up to date on new personnel records


·         Liaise with government agencies or outside firms regarding employment issues


·         Liaise with HR and other departments to ensure flow of information and reporting


·         Improve processes and synergies


·         Assist with auditors, both internal and external


·         Drive the bonus and increase processes


·         Assist National Manager where required


Candidate must meet the following requirements:




5 years payroll experience


SAGE VIP Premier experience


Microsoft Excel


General Ledger and Recon experience
